Inquiry Process

Our placement process ensures that every greyhound puppy finds a loving and suitable forever home. Interested parties must fill out a detailed inquiry form, allowing us to know more about your living situation, experience with sighthounds, and what you're looking for in a companion. Our aim is to place with you a puppy with the aim of a lasting relationship with each new owner, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the joy of a new puppy and the hard work it entails. Believe me puppies are a lot of work!

Puppy Health & Socialization

We prioritize the health and socialization of our puppies! Each greyhound is well-socialized and undergoes vital vaccinations, microchipping, and health checks. They stay with their mother until they are 12-15 weeks old, learning essential social skills and basic obedience to ensure they are well-adjusted companions from the moment they join your home. If you are outside of Ireland, all puppies must stay until 12 weeks +21days export waiting period into all EU member states and North America. We know the procedure well as we have placed our homebred puppies all around the world.

Lifetime Training & Support

Each puppy comes with guidance and support from us, the breeders. Our commitment doesn’t end at adoption; we provide lifetime help whether you need advice on training, health concerns, or tips for living with your greyhound. We're just a message away at any hour, ensuring the best possible experience for you and your new puppy. We are here for you to answer questions for the entire lifetime of our precious bundle of joy. There will be frustrtations at times as with all puppies, but we can help! Just ask us.

Join Our Dog Club

Become part of our exclusive dog club where you and your puppy can meet other sighthound enthusiasts! Enjoy lure-coursing events, training sessions, and the opportunity to connect with fellow greyhound owners. Share experiences and adventures, and introduce your puppy to new friends in a safe and fun environment!

We also organize a few shows per year and would be very happy to welcome you to our show fancier community under IKC!

Our Breeding Philosophy

At Irish Greyhound Puppies, we believe in ethical breeding practices and prioritize the well-being of our dogs above all. Our sires and dams are carefully chosen for their conformation and temperament, ensuring that every puppy is not only a beautiful specimen but also a friendly and suitable family companion with a stable temperament and health tested parents. We are proudly registered with IKC and adhere strictly to FCI standards and rules of welfare!

Emergency Return Policy

We care deeply about our puppies, and as part of our commitment, we have an emergency return policy. In the event of unforeseen circumstances where you can no longer keep your greyhound, we ask that they be returned to us and not given away to rescues or shelters. We are prepared to take back all of our kennels homebred souls if the need arises. No questions asked!

We breed purebred english greyhound puppies, IKC registered and meet FCI standards.

Our puppies are socialised, house trained, and stay with their dam until they are 12 weeks old as per legal welfare requirements for the greyhound breed.

Yes, we provide lifetime support and mentorship to all our puppy owners.

We carry out a home check and require a written contract as part of the puppy purchase process. Our puppy fee is 1500-2000euro which is the standard fee as per all EU countries for this breed.

Certainly! We welcome potential owners to visit and discuss the process of obtaining a well bred puppy from us.

In that unfortunate case, we ask you to return the dog to us at no costs and no refunds, so we can find a suitable new home and place them in a new family, which takes time and resources. Under no circumstance are you allowed to give them to any rescue or shelters please! This is clearly outlined as the terms of sale in the contract which you will be required to sign with us.

We have been breeding greyhounds of all 3 types for 20 years. We specialize in holistic homemade feeding and compete in sports and conformation in which venues we title our dogs. Our kennel is called Greyfort and all our dogs are registered with this prefix which we own under ICC, IKC, ALC and CKC. Within the Irish IKC community we are very well known and have been awarded TOP BREEDER ALL BREEDS Dr.Clauder Sponsored IKC AWARD OF MERIT. Our dogs have won more than 189 Best Of Breeds, Numerous Group placings, broken TRs track records and won WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP titles around the globe in racing and coursing.  We are Top Breeder of Greyhound in Ireland under Irish kennel Club year 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024, 2025!  We think this speaks for itself regarding the quality and temperament of our puppies!
